Executive Abstract
The kick serve (American Twist) utilizes a unique combination of heavy topspin (3,000β4,200 RPM) and right-to-left sidespin. In flight, the topspin causes the ball to dip steeply over the net cord; upon contact with the court, the forward rotational energy converts into vertical rebound height, kicking the ball up to 1.8β2.2 meters high into the opponent's weaker high backhand.
