Leg Drive in Tennis Strokes

Leg drive is the explosive leg extension that initiates the kinetic chain in serves, groundstrokes, and volleys. Pushing off the ground generates upward and forward force that travels through the body. Without leg drive, strokes are arm-dependent, weaker, and more injury-prone. Even volleys benefit from a small leg push.
