18 Tennis Groundstroke Out-Steps
David Bailey
18 Tennis Groundstroke “Out Steps” -

Moving backwards, Laterally and Run around variations before setting up the “Hitting Stance”
Firstly …what are “Out Steps” ?
Simply …it is a step or combination of steps the player takes to move “out” to the approaching ball and precedes the hitting stance!
The Out Steps also defines the labelling of the Contact Move selected
That is …A Low Step Down with Rhythm Out Steps or a Power Move with Running steps
Important: Don’t neglect the important of the First Steps ……
I like to say “If you fix the “Out Steps” you fix the timing and spacing of your stroke!
